Crash Analysis
The capability of door handles to resist the inertial forces of a crash event is becoming increasingly important. This safety
issue combined with ever-tightening standards, adds to the pressure on manufacturers to validate product design and performance.
ADAC offers an extensive range of validation resources which are proprietary solutions to test, analyze and clarify
door handle and trim design. This assures precise design analysis, including the information to develop solutions without wasted
time or effort. In many cases, ADAC is able to eliminate the need for costly product redesign and reduce liability exposure.

ADAC validation centers on crash analysis and incorporates technologies such
as:
- 2D inertial response modeling. Proprietary software solutions allow set up of tests to respond to
specific regulatory and usage requirements.
- 3D crash kinematics simulation. Our program is tailored to pinpoint the precise elements of product
performance under a variety of real-world conditions.
- Video analysis. Detailed video tracking that allows us to isolate and accurately analyze the source
of product failure.
|
- Sled testing. We work with OEMs to set up meaningful test parameters, instrumentation, and analysis
for simulated and full vehicle testing.
- Extensive library. ADAC’s library of accelerometer data provides baseline coordinates for expediting
the analytical process.
